Henderson photographs, 1954-1958.

Primarily scenic photographs of Arizona, Wyoming, Utah, California and other western states. Included are images of Monument Valley, Courtland, Humboldt, and Jerome, Arizona and Seven Falls at Sabino Canyon near Tucson. Most photographs are accompanied by a related newspaper caption. Of special interest are a series of photographs about Tucson slums and their demoliton in the 1950s. The photographs depict poverty, slum housing and family life in the areas of St. Mary's Road, Barrio Historico, Sabino Ave., McCormick St., Convent Ave., and Cushing St. Included are images of African-American children, and women cooking and hanging laundry.

Professional photographer, came to Arizona in 1935, married Charles Abbott in 1940, and the couple photographed the West for various travel publications.
